Hospital schedule
Why recheck a specialist clinic before you book flights?
A published timetable is a guide to clinic days; it does not reserve an appointment. If the specialist, campus, or date changes, a flight booking does not replace the hospital's confirmation.

A timetable and an appointment are different
A specialist’s clinic day listed on a hospital website, department page or old notice is only a scheduling reference. Confirm with the hospital whether appointments are still available and whether yours is booked. An international patient also needs to know whether the visit uses the regular clinic, an international medical service, or another path the hospital names. The documents are covered in How foreign patients can book a Chinese hospital. Beijing's official medical guide points international patients to the city's published appointment channel. An old timetable does not replace a confirmation in that channel.
Statutory holidays often have a separate arrangement. Do not copy a weekday timetable onto a holiday. For holiday checks, see Are clinics open as usual during a Chinese public holiday?.
Peking University Third Hospital’s 2026 National Day notice (Chinese) requires appointments for non-emergency visits. A clinic being open does not mean that an individual appointment has been secured. Check the relevant booking rules at other hospitals separately.

What to confirm before a non-refundable flight
- The date, arrival time, campus, and department name. Two campuses of the same hospital are not the same check-in point.
- Whether the department or doctor still matches the specialty you need. If a specialist stops clinics, the hospital may change the date or assign another doctor.
- Which records, images, and translations to bring. For record preparation, see How to prepare medical records for care in China.
- What the hospital does if you are late, reschedule, or cancel. Rules differ by hospital. Do not replace them with another hospital's rule.

Keep the hospital's confirmation
Ask the hospital to state the date, campus, department, and required documents in a form you can keep. If a friend, agent, or older email gives a different time, use the hospital's latest reply.
SinoCareHub can organize your proposed date, campus, specialty and existing records into an inquiry, check acceptance and scheduling with the hospital, and pass on its reply. Keep the hospital’s appointment confirmation; available places, cancellations and rescheduling remain the hospital’s decisions.
